Most of memory of Terrorist attacks came from people recounting 9/11. That eclipsed the Oklahoma City bombing which occurred six years earlier. I didn't know much about, but I had heard from my parents about a friend of theirs who was in Oklahoma City, several blocks away at the time of the explosion and who sped to the bombing site. After hearing about the bombing and researching the event, I was shocked to learn it was a disgruntled American who served in the military that was responsible for the devastation. it also made me realize, that there was an anti-Muslim Sentiment existed long before 9/11. It is hard to believe that an American soldier let alone an American soldier that could have so much for a country he once served, especially with that country being America. This was a tremendous disaster in America, that somehow faded, although not total, after 9/11 occurred.
